Administration

Hello CRI students and families! I am ecstatic about the opportunity to be leading at CRI. This will be my 20th year in education. I taught 7th grade Science at Western Oaks Middle School in Putnam City for 16 years. I spent two years in administration in Putnam City at the middle and elementary level, and this past year I was in Piedmont at the intermediate level. I really enjoy the intermediate level because it’s where elementary meets secondary. Our students experience so much growth during this time.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and partnering with the entire school community. Together we will strive to create a safe and enriching learning environment that will allow scholars to reach their full potential in both academic and extracurricular activities. I believe in empowering young minds to explore their passions and capabilities. My commitment is to ensure that everyone in our school is treated with respect and kindness, and that our expectations for success are based on collaboration and innovation. I am passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, parents and the wider school community. It is my highest priority to collaborate on projects, events and initiatives that will help bring the school together and help all learners strive and succeed. It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to Canyon Ridge Intermediate! I want to begin by saying how excited I am to be a part of this school year with you! 

This will be my 26th year in education! My experience includes classroom teaching roles in special education and middle school math, being an instructional coach for middle school, and the last 3 years as an assistant principal at the elementary level. 

I believe that education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about developing critical thinking skills, fostering creativity, and building character. I am excited to combine my experience from the elementary and secondary levels to have a successful and fulfilling school year.
